After a brief hiatus from the market, the fairytale home is back with the same $11 million price tag
The Gingerbread House of Bay Ridge is back on the market with new representation but with the same asking price of $11 million that we saw it for earlier this year, reports Brick Underground. Formerly listed by Douglas Elliman, the enchanting home at 8220 Narrows Avenue is now being listed through Keller Williams NYC with some interesting choice of new photos to accompany it.
Despite its endless charm and cuteness, the Arts and Crafts-style home has struggled to find its next owner. It’s spent time both on and off the market for the past six years, asking as much as $12 million during in its initial 2009 listing to even trying its luck as a $26,000-a-month rental property. Listing groups have even gotten creative with the stagnant property and looked beyond conventional methods of enticement and creatively incorporated a drone video tour of the property into the listing, but that didn’t do much by way of sales.
Just a quick refresher of what the home entails: the six-bedroom home was built in 1917 by James Sarsfield Kennedy and as expected, is full of magnificent and truly unique details like stained glass windows, stone fireplaces, sculpted woodwork, intricate moldings, and that captivating Medieval-like facade along with many more notable details.
