West Village’s 242-Square-Foot ‘Wee Cottage’ Now a $3,000/Month Rental

The 242-square-foot apartment has been renovated into a cozy, livable space

Back in 2014, we introduced you to Jourdan Lawlor and Toubin Ludwig, who created a cozy and totally livable home out of a tiny, 242-square-foot West Village studio. "We agreed to renovate and maximize the space," Lawlor said at the time, and the couple added a Clei couch-Murphy bed hybrid, a pocket table, and other space-saving furniture to make it a real home.

But nothing lasts forever, especially in the world of New York City real estate, and the couple is now renting the minuscule apartment for $3,000 per month. According to the listing (h/t New York Post), the couple is "working on a new project that requires a larger space," but they’re "excited to share this special home with a new tenant."

Despite its wee size, the apartment comes with plenty of nice features, including a (very small) chef’s kitchen, a renovated bathroom, electric blinds on its six-foot windows, and access to a garden shared by the building's residents. Check out more of the itty-bitty, charming space below:
