To enter, all you have to do is answer one simple question
This year marks the 100th anniversary of New York City’s monumental 1916 zoning resolution, which paved the way not just for the look and shape of the city’s skyline, but also for how such decisions were made with the support of the city, community, and other organizations.
To celebrate, Open House New York and the Museum of the City of New York have teamed up to create a citywide scavenger hunt on July 9, which will use that historic decision as a jumping-off point in order to "uncover how the invisible forces of zoning have shaped the city around us." Curbed has a pair of team registrations, good for teams of up to six participants, to give away (face value: $30 per ticket), and to enter, all you have to do is answer this question: "What’s your favorite hidden place in New York City, and why?"
To enter, submit your full legal name, address and date of birth, and answer the question in 50 words or less; send those over to tips@curbed.com with the subject line "OHNY Scavenger Hunt Tickets." An abbreviated version of the rules can be found below, and the full rules can be viewed here.
Some more details about the tour, from OHNY: Players must register in advance and can play solo or in teams of up to six people. The hunt happens on July 9 beginning at 10 a.m., and participants have until 5 p.m. to "decipher clues and race across the city posting photos of you and your team in front of the key zoning sites hinted at in more than 60 clues." Sounds like fun, so get to answering that question now.
