It'll replace two stately wood-frame homes
The development boom in the Bronx isn't limited to commercial and residential projects—the borough is also getting a bevy of new hotels, including one in Concourse Village just off of the Grand Concourse. The 11-story, 83-room hotel will replace two wood-frame homes on Sheridan Avenue, according to YIMBY, and it'll rise 114 feet above street level.
Plans for the hotel were recently filed by Michael Kang, a Flushing-based architect, acting on behalf of the developer, not-so-cleverly named 857-859 HOTEL LLC. Per the filings with the DOB, the hotel will have a fitness center, a "breakfast area and pantry," bike storage, and eight guest rooms on most of its floors. There'll also be a pharmacy on the ground floor.
