Streit's Matzo Factory-Replacing Condos Finally Revealed

Will include one and two bedroom condos starting at $975,000

This week as Jews around the world celebrate Passover with matzo, demolition will begin on the red brick buildings that was home to the Lower East Side's last matzo factory. The site of Streit's has been eyed by developers Cogswell Realty for a new 45-unit condo since it sold for $31 million last year. Now, buried deep in a Times piece about Lower East Side institutions making way for condos is the first full reveal of the condo, known as 150 Rivington.

The reveal also comes with some new intel. The 45 one- and two-bedroom condos, which will hit the market in May, will have asks starting at $975,000. The developers plan on bringing memorabilia of the site's past to 150 Rivington's lobby. As previously reported, the Gluck+ designed building will have 13,000 square feet of retail as well as a gym, storage, bike storage, and 1,750 square feet of outdoor roof terrace for residents.
