See what $1,800 rents in NYC neighborhoods like the Upper West Side, Crown Heights, Astoria, and more
Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent for a set dollar amount in various NYC neighborhoods. Is one man's studio another man's townhouse? Let's find out! Today we're looking at units renting for around $1,800/month.
↑ A one-bedroom on Saint Marks Avenue in Crown Heights is renting for $1,750 a month. There isn’t much information in its listing description but if the pictures are worth anything, this no-frills apartment has a decent-sized living room, plenty of closet space, and a cramped but workable kitchen.
↑ In Astoria, a one-bedroom condo is renting for $1,800 a month. It comes with brand new stainless steel kitchen appliances, hardwood floors, and plenty of natural light in the bedroom and living space.
↑ Another one-bedroom is going for $1,800 a month, this time in Riverdale. The huge space has been gut renovated and offers a large kitchen with new appliances, a marble bathroom, and four large storage closets.
↑ A small studio on the Upper West Side features exposed brick, a small kitchen, and as per its listing, there is a decent amount of closet space. The pad is going for $1,825 a month.
↑ For $1,795, you can rent a sunny one-bedroom on the Upper East Side. It’s a bit on the small side but the kitchen and bathroom have a fair amount of space.
↑ Yet another one-bedroom populates this list. The spacious Harlem unit is asking $1,825 a month and features exposed brick, hardwood floors, a kitchen that isn’t incredibly small, and two hallway closets.
