First NYC condo from Rem Koolhaas's OMA gets a teaser site

The Gramercy building will have 133 apartments

The first ground-up NYC project from OMA (the firm founded by Dutch starchitect Rem Koolhaas) now has a teaser website, Curbed has learned. With it comes a new rendering for the project, though the developers have clarified that this is just a preliminary rendering, and might not be the final design for the building.

Located at 121 East 22nd Street, the Toll Brothers City Living project will rise on the former site of United Cerebral Palsy’s Gramercy HQ. There’s not a lot of information available about the development just yet, but from what we do know, the building will have a total of 133 apartments that range in size from studios to five-bedrooms.

The project came about after Toll Brothers purchased the site in 2013 for $135 million. OMAs involvement became apparent in April this year, though the lead architect on this project will be a partner at the firm, Shohei Shigematsu.
