4 of the most diversely unique homes that hit the market this week

In case you missed it, these four homes that recently hit the market are all exceptionally stunning in their own ways

Every week, Curbed scours the market and features some of the best homes we can find for sale, whether those are amazing six-digit listings, pricespotters, unbelievable mansions, beloved townhouses, and whatever else in between. This week, four homes have that certain "je ne sais quoi" that separates them from the rest. Sure, some of them are a bit quirky or over-the-top, but that’s okay, because it’s what makes them so unique and lovely in their own special way.

↑ An Upper West Side townhouse fit for royalty come with loads of opulent 19th-century French details with a hefty price tag to match. The five-story house spans 7,000 square feet is asking $13 million and is filled with everything from intricate painted walls and ceilings to stained glass skylights and huge regal fireplaces.

↑Touted as having "stately grandeur," the 4,200-square-foot Park Slope townhouse, asking $3.1 million, offers five bedrooms and is permeated with original details throughout that include wainscoted walls, pocket doors, embellished moldings, a center skylight above the main staircase, and an impressive six decorative fireplaces. Outside, there is a lovely landscaped garden with its own koi pond.

↑A sweeping West Chelsea penthouse re-designed by Brazilian architect Felipe Diniz marvels with 20-foot-high ceilings, custom-covered walls, and dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows that give view to amazing views as well as a host of natural sunlight. The 2,353 square foot apartment also has two private outdoor terraces and is asking $7.8 million.

↑This week’s pricespotter brought an interesting Boerum Hill one-bedroom to the forefront. While it does have an unconventional design—a space-age kitchen, colorful walls, and a hotel-like bathroom-- the contemporary space, asking $899,000, is still stunning in its own rights.
