$22M sale at Anbau’s Yorkville condo breaks a neighborhood record

The sale comprises of the penthouse and the unit below that

Anbau’s Yorkville condo, Citizen360, might still be under construction, but it’s already cementing its place in the record books. This past week, two units at the SHOP-designed building sold for a combined total of $21.7 million making it the most expensive sale in the neighborhood, specifically north of 79th Street and east of Lexington Avenue, The Real Deal reports.

The units in question were the building’s penthouse, a 4,568-square-foot apartment that was asking $14.95 million, and the apartment below that, a four-bedroom spanning 2,862 square feet and asking $6.71 million. While the units were sold separately, the owner is the same, and is going to combine the units, making it the priciest sale combined. The previous record holder was a $17 million sale at 170 East End Avenue in 2009.

The news of the sale emerged from Olshan Realty’s luxury market report for last week. That report also noted the priciest sale of the week, which was a One57 pad. That however sold at a loss of at least $7 million.

Anbau’s Citizen360 stands 34-stories tall and comes with 83 apartments. The condos there start at $.15 million.
