The project will have 302 condos split between two towers
New details have emerged on Bjarke Ingels’ High Line-adjacent condo building just a week after news surfaced on yet another design iteration for the twisty two-tower project. Chief among the new information is the fact that the largest penthouse at the condo will span over 7,000 square feet and come equipped with a wraparound terrace, and a swimming pool overlooking the High Line, The Real Deal reports.
There now seems to be a slight change to the number of floors at the project, which is located at 76 Eleventh Avenue, with the taller tower rising to 35 stories and the shorter topping out at 25 — down from the 38 and 28 stories reported last week.
After going back and forth on the number of units, it now appears that the condo will have a total of 302 apartments, according to developer HFZ Capital’s offering plan, which TRD obtain. Apartments here will average just under 2,000 square feet in size, though pricing has yet to be unveiled. The developer previously told TRD that the units would ask between $4 million and $8 million.
The offering plan reveals mostly one, two and three-bedroom units with a few studios as well—the smallest unit is sized at 846 square feet, and the largest is the above mentioned penthouse, which will also have an additional 4,365 square feet of outdoor space.
The two towers in Ingels’ design will now be connected by a five-story base, so it’s not exactly clear yet where the low-hanging skybridges revealed in the design last week will be positioned. This space will be used for offices and retail (previously plans called for a hotel).
With an anticipated completion sometime in 2018, the project is being built at a staggeringly high cost of $2billion, according to TRD, making it one of the priciest developments in the city.
