The museum will welcome visitors into its new location beginning June 23rd
The International Center of Photography has unveiled the facade at its new home, 250 Bowery, reports Bowery Boogie. The museum had occupied its old home at Sixth Avenue and West 43rd Street since 1974, but purchased the ground floor of the Morris Adjmi-designed condo building in 2015 for $23.5 million. Its glassy new configuration has a wall for public announcements and temporary exhibitions, a reading area curated by Spaces Corners, and a surveillance clock, designed by David Reinfurt, that operates in real time.
The inaugural exhibit, "Public, Private, Secret" is scheduled to open on Thursday, June 23. Along with its slated exhibitions, the museum will hosts various programs that include workshops, lectures, discussions, and other forms of discourse.
