Director Spike Jonze Unloads His Financial District Pad for $3.2M

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment spans 2,279 square feet

About six months after it was first listed on the market, writer and director Spike Jonze has managed to sell his FiDi apartment for $3.2 million, the Observer reports. The 75 Wall Street-apartment features three-bedrooms, three-bathrooms, and spans 2,279 square feet.

The Academy Award-winning director picked up the apartment along with his sister Julie Spiegel Lunn in 2011 for $2.35 million. The apartment was a gift to their mother, according to the Observer, but it was back on the market early this year.

This particular unit was created by combining a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom unit in the building. Some of the standout features in the apartment include 10-foot high ceilings, wide planked oak flooring, and plenty of closet space.

Jonze's now former apartment is one of the condos located atop the Andaz Hotel, several of which quickly sold out soon after they went on the market in 2011. A few remaining, refurbished units were trying to find buyers starting this past March.
