The real-estate fanatics reportedly bought a five-bedroom apartment in the high-end building
The latest limestone-covered condo by Robert A.M. Stern, located at 70 Vestry Street in Tribeca, hasn’t even launched sales yet, but it may already have a big-name buyer. The New York Post reports that none other than Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bündchen are in the process of buying a five-bedroom apartment in the building, with an asking price north of $20 million. (But not, alas, its rumored $65 million penthouse.)
The apartment measures around 5,000 square feet and is located on one of the higher floors; the couple was reportedly interested in the building because of its privacy-boosting amenities, including an automated garage and a porte cochere.
When the deal goes through, Brady and Bündchen are expected to sell their One Madison penthouse, which the couple bought in 2013 for $14 million. But it’s not like that’ll be too much of a loss for the real-estate fanatics; they put the 47th-floor penthouse on the rental market in 2014, and it’s unclear whether they actually lived in the apartment, or spent most of their time in their many other homes, including the couple’s enormous spread in Brookline, Massachusetts.
