Open houses: 5 homes to see in the East Village this Sunday

This weekend, we’re exploring what’s on the market in the East Village and checking out homes from $376,000 to $1.8 million

↑Boasting two bedrooms, a moderately-sized living room and kitchen, and the convenient location of being just a block away from Tompkins Square Park, this 750-square foot co-op, asking $825,000, isn’t too shabby.

When: Sunday August 21st (12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.)

↑Looking more like an apartment you would see on the Upper East Side, this elegant two-bedroom co-op is loaded with prewar charm that doesn’t compromise its contemporary touch. Notable highlights include high ceilings, elaborate entry galleries, built-in wall shelving, and a large chef’s kitchen. Asking price is $899,000.

When: Sunday August 21st (4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.)

↑While it’s only about 601 square feet of space, this recently renovated one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo, asking $1.089 million, makes the most of its space. The open concept space offers a kitchen furnished with custom walnut cabinets and stainless steel appliances, plenty of closet space, and floor-to-ceiling windows that invite in an array of natural light.

When: Sunday August 21st (2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.)

↑Situated along East 13th Street, this Union Square loft spreads across 1,100 square feet of space and comes with 13-foot high ceilings, a large study room, a bedroom, sleep alcove, and small upper "zen den," as the brokerbabble calls it (more of a small sleeping loft). Asking price is $1.795 million.

When: Sunday August 21st (1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.)

↑This pre-war studio on East 6th Street, asking just $375,950, is filled with unique details that include French doors, a rare built-in dining set, high ceilings, and a windowed kitchen. The bathroom and kitchen have been renovated and the apartment has brand new hardwood floors.

When: Sunday August 21st (2:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.)
