Sprawling Lincoln Square penthouse tries again as smaller $19M pad

The enormous triplex penthouse has gotten both a size and a price chop

After several years on the market, the over-the-top penthouse apartment atop the Grand Millennium on West 67th Street is back yet again—or at least, half of it is.

Let’s revisit the saga of the swanky condo that couldn’t. Back in 2014, the 33rd floor mega-estate, a product of three separate apartments squished together, hit the market for a staggering $42 million. Nearly a year later, though, the 8,100-square-foot castle still hadn’t sold, and so the palatial penthouse was transformed into a relvatively petite 4,100-square-foot abode, listed at $23 million. But that didn’t work either: this August, the place came back on the market in its original form — 8,100 square feet of sleekly modern glory, asking $29.995 million.

Now, the place has been relisted yet again, and this time, it’s back to the half-size configuration. Priced at $19 million, the 4,566-square-foot apartment—now with only 4 bedrooms—still offers 65 feet of floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic Manhattan views, a free-floating bronze and glass fireplace, a drop down movie screen, and a huge kitchen with at least two of every appliance, Noah’s Ark-style. There is also a fully irrigated terrace, a grand dining room, and a separate breakfast room equipped with two more refrigerators, for all your chilling needs.

Interestingly, the larger penthouse listing is still available—and got a small pricechop of its own—so it looks like the current owner is willing to do whatever at this point to unload the property. Perhaps the fourth time’s the charm?
