Elegant loft in Tiffany & Co.’s old Union Square HQ seeks $5.3M

The two-bedroom apartment is truly one-of-a-kind

It's been a while since we've checked in at 15 Union Square West, the former HQ of Tiffany & Company that was converted to a glass-box luxury condo nearly 10 years ago. Recently, a two-bedroom condo in the building hit the market, and while the brokerbabble is a bit over-the-top—"extraordinarily sophisticated" and "monumental achievement" both appear in the listing—it's certainly a unique and, yes, lovely space.

The two-bedroom duplex got a makeover by famed designer Vicente Wolf, who combined classic elegance with sleek, contemporary details. Spread across nearly 2,300 square feet, the condo consists of a grand living room with 16-foot ceilings and arched floor-to-ceiling windows, a sculptural stainless steel and glass staircase, a marble-dressed chef’s kitchen, and an elegant powder room adorned with mahogany and more marble.

The bathrooms are no less chic. Within one of the two-and-a-half bathrooms is a regal claw-foot tub surrounded by stone walls, modern double vanities, and a separate free-standing shower. There are at least two large walk-in closets and a couple of smaller storage spaces, and a washer/dryer unit.

The price for all of this: $5.3 million, which is a pretty big dip from summer 2015, when it first appeared for $6.9 million.
