Morris Adjmi’s glassy Williamsburg rental now leasing from $2,675/month

The Brooklyn rental building will have all of the expected high-end amenities

Williamsburg is getting another pricey rental—but for those worried about the impending L train shutdown, this development, located at 282 South 5th Street (near the J/M/Z stop at Marcy Ave) may prove to be more of a draw. The building was previously known by its address, but it’s since been rechristened The Williams, and leasing has officially started as of today. There’s also a new website that offers more details on the development.

The building, designed by Morris Adjmi Architects, plops a glass box with a brick exoskeleton atop a wider base, the roof of which will be turned into a communal outdoor space with gardens and seating. Other amenities include the usual fancy things: kids room, fitness center, yoga studio, residents’ lounge, and pet spa, which has somehow gone from an oddity to a de rigueur perk.

As for pricing, it’s predictably expensive, given the convergence of neighborhood, architect, and amenities: there’ll be 24 studios that start at $2,675; 40 one-bedrooms that start at $3,325; and 18 two-bedrooms, with pricing starting at $4,725.

Check out a few new renderings and floorplans below.
