Bethenny Frankel’s Tribeca penthouse sells in 1 day

:High kick!:

Real Housewife of New York star Bethenny Frankel has officially sold her much-discussed Tribeca apartment—and according to one of her brokers, fellow Bravo reality personality Fredrik Eklund, finding a buyer didn’t take long.

Eklund, who stars on Million Dollar Listing New York, posted the news to Instagram this morning. "The Wall Street Journal just broke the news that I sold Bethenny Frankel’s Tribeca loft at 195 Hudson at FULL ASK of $6.95M in just ONE DAY," he wrote.

Frankel was only too happy to offload the place. "I’m glad that the real estate gods were looking out for me saying, ‘let’s give her a break,’" she told the WSJ.

WSJ lays out the sad tale: Frankel purchased the 3,330-square-foot condo through a trust back when she was married to businessman Jason Hoppy, and the renovation of the airy abode was featured on Bethenny Ever After, a Housewives spinoff that was supposed to chronicle her newly-wedded bliss. But alas, the marriage to Hoppy did not last, and the place "became a point of contention in their subsequent, well-publicized divorce battle," the paper explains, tactfully.

After Hoppy moved out of the condo this summer, Frankel was free to put the place on the market, enlisting Eklund, along with his Elliman colleague John Gomes, to handle the deal.

Frankel said she paid $4.995 million for the unit in 2011, and put another half million toward renovations and furnishings. She declined to name the new buyer, but they will presumably enjoy the expansive closet space and the 180-bottle wine fridge.

The star herself now lives in Soho, where she owns two apartments (one for living, one for work). She also keeps a house in the Hamptons.
