Village Co-op With a Dreamy Rooftop Shower Is Just In Time For Summer

The Mercer Street co-op just hit the market asking $1.5 million

It’s summer in the city, and for most people that means flocking to its parks, pools, and air-conditioned public spaces. Oftentimes the city’s luxurious outdoor private spaces are reserved for the ritziest of ritzy apartments, but a new-to-market co-op near the corner of Mercer Street and East 8th Street in Greenwich Village has stellar outdoor space with a pretty reasonable price tag.

Asking $1.495 million, the one-bedroom penthouse co-op at 303 Mercer Street offers up 920 interior square feet that include a skylight, walk-in closet, and wine refrigerator. But its best asset is its 850-square-foot private rooftop with a dreamy outdoor shower flanked in reclaimed cypress wood. On top of that, the apartment has air conditioning—and that sounds pretty good right about now.

The apartment has been renovated top to bottom brining it a "Soho House meets The Standard Hotel design motif," per the listing, and includes a Bang and Olufsen integrated sound system throughout the apartment and on the roof, a Miele dishwasher, a Wolf range, and a Sub-Zero refrigerator.

The co-op’s monthlies are sky-high, at $2,675/month, but they help pay for the building’s communal garden, 24-hour doorman, and live-in super.

In case the photo gallery isn’t convincing enough, Compass also put together a video tour of the apartment complete with actors playing out their day in the apartment (lol).
