NYC’s Largest Rental Building Reveals Its ‘Ultra-Luxury' Penthouses

Sky, Moinian Group's enormous west side tower, just unveiled a new tier of fancy apartments

Apartments at Sky, the largest rental building in New York City, have been available for a little more than a year now, but a new tier of high-end pads within the development is about to hit the market. The building’s developer, the Moinian Group, teamed up with architect David Rockwell and interior designer Michael Dawkins to create 83 "ultra-luxury" apartments, which will go by the name—wait for it—Vue. (Like view, because the building is called Sky, get it?)

The apartments occupy the top five floors of the building, and the asking prices are predictably quite high. A studio goes for $4,035; a one-bedroom, for $5,500; a two bedroom is $7,650; and the lone three-bedroom apartment is renting for an astounding $25,000.

And given the pedigree of the design team behind this "premium collection," the apartments themselves are fairly swanky. They come with all of the expected finishes and features—Miele appliances, quartz counters, walnut floors, towel warmers, and the like—but also the added benefit of the views (heh) from being 65 stories up. And of course, there’s access to the building’s ridiculous suite of amenities, including a pet spa, indoor and outdoors pools, and a private park.

Dawkins designed two model residences for the collection, which you can check out below:
