A vacant commercial lot in Crown Heights, that was once home to a gas station, will soon be transformed into a 100-room hotel to be designed by ODA New York, YIMBY reports. The five-story building will span 38,302 square feet and also include space for a rooftop bar, a banquet hall and restaurant on the ground floor, and shared terraces on the third, fourth, and fifth floors.
Department of Buildings plans list the developer as Yoel Schwimmer, and the address listed for Schwimmer is also the one listed for development firm All Year Management, which recently unveiled plans for a large rental project at the former Rheingold Brewery site in Bushwick.
The developer purchased the site of the future Crown Heights hotel for $7.2 million in 2014 from Cumberland Farms, the owner of the former gas station at the property, according to DNAinfo.
