What's Your Favorite New York City Park?

Do you prefer big open spaces or smaller hidden parks?

Welcome to Friday Open Threads, wherein we'll pass the mic to readers to speak up about topics of interest, distress, horror, etc. Have something you want discussed? Let us know.

It’s going to be a gorgeous weekend, everyone: The forecast calls for a chance of rain on Saturday, but otherwise New York City is going to be sunny, clear, and warm all weekend long. And when the weather’s nice, all we want to do is go outside and hang out in one of New York City’s parks.

And for as much as people talk about NYC being a concrete jungle, or a place where there’s just nowhere to get outdoors…well, we're calling that what is it: bullshit. There are more than 1,000 parks in the city, from super-popular spaces like Central Park or the High Line, to the smaller, hidden spaces tucked away in neighborhoods throughout the five boroughs. If you’re not able to find an outdoor space that suits your needs, well, you’re probably not trying hard enough.

So anyway, with that in mind, we want to know: What’s your favorite New York City park? Doesn't matter what size it is or what it’s primarily used for; all we ask is that you pick something within the five boroughs. Sound off in the comments below.
