Sarah Jessica Parker's West Village Megamansion Cost Her $34.5M

The actress and her husband have closed on the deal for two adjoining townhouses

A few months ago, we reported that Sex and the City actress Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick were the likely buyers of some prime West Village real estate, and that the couple had inked a deal for two adjacent townhouses at 273 and 275 West 11th Street.

According to the Real Deal, the Hollywood couple has reportedly closed the deal on the two homes, which had been owned by the nonprofit group United Methodist Women since the 1920s. They even managed to get a bargain on the property, paying only ("only") $34.5 million for the two townhouses, which is $9.5 million less than the original reported value of $44 million.

If the two properties are combined—and there’s a strong chance that they will be—the home would become another West Village megamansion, that will span 50 feet across and could encompass a total of 13,900 square feet with a 2,100 square-foot private garden.

UPDATE, 6/8/16: The New York Observer reports that the deal has officially hit city records, and the $34.5 million price is indeed the final closing cost for the home.
