The duplex penthouse was most recently listed for $54 million
After over three years on the market, the palatial penthouse of the Baccarat Hotel & Residences on West 53rd Street has finally nabbed a buyer. The penthouse, a 7,400-square-foot ode to all things crystal, was first listed for $60 million in February 2013. Crain’s reports that the property, most recently listed for $54 million, has gone into contract at an undisclosed price much lower than that—after all, the apartment has been on the market for over three years.
The penthouse features five bedrooms—including a 1,150-square-foot master suit—five-and-a-half bathrooms, a 600-square-foot loggia, and (of course) oodles of the building’s namesake crystal. The penthouse was restaged in February, shortly before undergoing its first and only price chop.
Crain’s says that 55 of the 59 condos at Baccarat Hotel & Residences are now either sold or in contract. In 2016 to date, five of the buildings apartments have sold and two have entered contract. One final look at the flashy penthouse, below.
