Learn About NYC's Film and TV Industry During a Cool Queens Street Fair

Opportunities like this shouldn't be missed

If you've ever wanted to poke around a studio backlot, now's your chance: This Sunday, get an exclusive look into the inner workings of New York's film and TV industry, thanks to a street fair near the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria. New York on Location is a free one-day fair that offers the public a rare opportunity to speak with movie and set professionals and explore more than 20 working movie trailers and trucks. There will also be makeup demos, stunt and special-effect demonstrations, food courtesy of movie catering and treat trucks, as well as free admission to the museum. (Which you should definitely take advantage of—the vintage arcade games alone are worth a visit.)

Catch the event on May 22 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Kaufman Astoria Studios backlot and at the Museum of the Moving Image.
