Rent Karl Lagerfeld's Former Gramercy Park Pad for $25,000/Month

The three-bedroom, 3.5 bathroom condo spans 2,151 square feet

It took several years for fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld to sell his Gramercy Park pad, but his former condo has now appeared on the market as a rental, asking $25,000 per month, the Observer reports.

The three-bedroom, 3.5 bathroom apartment spans 2,151 square feet, and while it may not bear any of the fashion icon’s design sensibilities, it offers some pretty decent finishes. These include a chef’s kitchen with stainless steel countertops, Varenna cherry wood cabinets, and a master bathroom fitted with travertine marble that comes with a soaking tub, and a separate shower.

And of course, tenants here get access to one of the city’s two private parks — Gramercy Park, not to mention access to the amenities at the Gramercy Park Hotel.

Lagerfeld purchased this 50 Gramercy Park North pad for $6.69 million in 2006, but reportedly never moved in despite adding some furnishings to the unit. He first listed the apartment on the market sometime in 2011, and the apartment sold almost two years later to banker Sebastian Barrack. Over the years, the Chanel creative director and head designer has owned residences in Brittany, Monte Carlo, Vermont, Paris, and Hamburg.
