Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon nabs a cute East Village co-op

The actress and her wife paid $1.49 million for the two-bedroom apartment

Sex and the City alum Cynthia Nixon and her wife Christine Marinoni have nabbed an East Village co-op for $1.49 million, Luxury Listings NYC has learned. Nixon and Marinoni went in on the purchase with another couple, Michael Growler and Bill Bowers, according to Luxury Listings. Growler worked as a dresser on both the SATC movies.

Their East Village pad comes with two bedrooms, but the apartment can be converted into a three bedroom, as per the brokerbabble. Located in a 12-story pre-war building, the apartment comes with details like high ceilings, herringbone wood floors, and the original beams and moldings.

The kitchen is fitted with open shelving, white cabinetry, and a dishwasher, and the apartment overall boasts tons of light, as per the listing. Amenities in the building include a laundry room and a bike room and the lobby is done up with marble and Art Deco details.

This is by no means Nixon’s first foray into NYC real estate. Early in 2012, along with Marinoni, she purchased a Bleecker Street co-op for $3.25 million, and later that same year she sold her Upper West Side apartment for $1.59 million.
